About Me
“Hi, I’m Rory, but you might know me better as the Pocket Rocket. I may be small, but I make up for it in enthusiasm, charm, and a legendary waggy tail. Life hasn’t always been easy, but I hit the jackpot when my family fell in love with me on a walk and decided they simply couldn’t leave without me. Now every day is an adventure! My favourite thing? People. I love meeting everyone, greeting everyone, and let’s be honest, hoping that everyone has a treat tucked away somewhere. Coffee shops are basically my happy place: so many lovely humans all in one spot, and if I play my cards right, someone always slips me something delicious. St John’s is a particular favourite of mine because the walk there is beautifully flat (these little legs have standards), and apparently the cakes and coffee are absolutely amazing, though I mostly care about the biscuits. Come and find me and I’ll be the one with the biggest smile on the gravel!”

"I’ve traveled from Manchester more than once—either on a bike ride or a walk—just to visit this coffee shop. The cakes are amazing, easily some of the best I’ve had. Last time, I tried Kate’s marshmallow cake, and it was excellent.
I always get a flat white, and it’s consistently great. The setup is simple but welcoming, and being outdoors just adds to the charm—perfect for a break in the fresh air, especially if you're partway through a bike ride or walk in the countryside.
If you’re after good coffee and even better cakes, it’s well worth the trip. I’ll definitely be back."

I just want to pass on a massive thank you to all your team at St John's Cafe from Stockport Community Cycling Club.
Our riders thoroughly enjoyed visiting your cafe on Saturday. We received a warm welcome, and the drinks and cakes were exceptional. My wife who is gluten-intolerant was particularly impressed at having a choice of cakes. It was perfect!
Following the ride we received some extremely positive feedback regarding both the cycle route and the visit to your cafe. It is a cycle ride we will certainly be repeating, and in turn another visit to your cafe!
