I’m Rufus, and I’m absolutely thrilled to be your Dog of the Month for June! 🎉 I’m a gentle soul with a waggy tail and a nose for cake (seriously—if you’ve got some, I’ve already noticed 🐾🍰). I’m all about the people—every friendly face is a chance for a new friendship, and I’m always scanning the horizon for someone to give me a smile or a scratch behind the ears. Eye contact? I'm a pro. Tail wags? Non-stop. I’m a little shy when it comes to other dogs, but I’ve got a loyal pack who understand me, and we have the best time just being ourselves. And when it’s time to relax, there’s nowhere better than St John’s Coffee Shop. Mum gets her caffeine fix, I get cake crumbs and cuddles—it’s a win-win! ☕💛

"I’ve traveled from Manchester more than once—either on a bike ride or a walk—just to visit this coffee shop. The cakes are amazing, easily some of the best I’ve had. Last time, I tried Kate’s marshmallow cake, and it was excellent.
I always get a flat white, and it’s consistently great. The setup is simple but welcoming, and being outdoors just adds to the charm—perfect for a break in the fresh air, especially if you're partway through a bike ride or walk in the countryside.
If you’re after good coffee and even better cakes, it’s well worth the trip. I’ll definitely be back."
