Feeling peckish? Fancy a little something sweet? We’ve got exactly what you need this Saturday – a table full of homemade delights, whipped up by our brilliant volunteer bakers. Come for the coffee, stay for the cake (and maybe a second slice… we won’t judge 👀).
Here’s the line-up of this week’s irresistible treats:
🍰 Bee’s Victoria sponge – Light, fluffy, and classy. Like afternoon tea with the Queen (but more fun and fewer rules).
🍋 Jackie’s lemon drizzle – Sharp, sweet, and guaranteed to tingle your tastebuds. It’s got zing.
🥕 Nicki’s carrot cake – Who said eating your veg can’t be delicious? Moist, spiced, and topped with creamy goodness.
🍪 Sarah’s almond cookies – Crunchy round the edges, soft in the middle. Just like us on a good day.
😋 Sue’s white chocolate & raspberry cake – Sweet, fruity, and just a little bit posh. The Bake-Off handshake in cake form.
🍏 Carolyn’s apple & cinnamon cake – Warm, cosy, and giving autumn energy… in June.
🍓 Kate’s strawberry crumble traybake – Like summer had a party and invited cake along. Juicy, buttery, and totally addictive.
🌾 Thea’s flapjack – Oaty, golden, and perfect with a cuppa. Also makes an excellent breakfast if you squint.
🍫 Val’s chocolate cake – Rich, indulgent, and utterly worth unbuttoning your jeans for.
Everything’s made with love (and a fair bit of butter), and all the money goes to keeping the Saint John’s Church ticking along.
So come on down, bring a mate, and treat yourself to a cheeky slice or three. We’ll be there with big smiles, hot drinks, and plenty of cake. You know you want to.
