On Sunday, November 9th, our wonderful team of volunteers gathered at St John’s Church for a very special afternoon tea to celebrate all their hard work this season. It was a chance to say a huge thank you to everyone who has given their time and energy to make the coffee shop such a buzzing community spot. 🔥🔥🔥
The afternoon was a real treat! Our managers cooked up an array of delicious homemade cakes, there were tasty sandwiches to enjoy, and of course, we had some sparkling prosecco to add a little fizz to the festivities. 🥂
Laughter, chatter, and the smell of fresh cakes filled the church, and it was heartwarming to see how much everyone enjoyed themselves.
Each volunteer received a card that summed up the season perfectly:
A huge thank you for your time, energy, and support this season. It’s been wonderful to see the coffee shop thrive – from the buzz in the garden, to the friendships among our team, to the fantastic feedback from customers. With support from walking groups, cyclists, and regulars, 2025 has been our best season yet. Your efforts have helped us not only cover church costs, but also set aside funds for local charities. You’ve played a big part in making St John’s a true community hub on Saturdays. We’re so grateful – thank you!
It was an afternoon full of gratitude, fun, and a little sparkle, and we can’t wait to do it all over again next year. The coffee shop opens again in April 2026, and we’re already excited to welcome back our brilliant volunteers and all our lovely customers for another fantastic season!
