These awards celebrate outstanding independent businesses across the UK and are given purely on merit, honouring passion, dedication, and the quality of experience we offer. To be recognised in this way, not just once, but twice, feels like a wonderful affirmation of everything we’ve built together as volunteers, customers, and friends.
For us, this recognition goes far beyond coffee and cake. Every cup poured and every slice served helps support St John’s Church, a cherished local landmark that has been part of Adlington’s story for over 130 years. In 2025, we were also proud to make donations to two local charities (The Bridgend Centre in Bollington and the CoRe Pantry in Macclesfield), spreading that support to others who do such valuable work. What began as a volunteer-run effort to support the church has become a welcoming space where coffee, homemade treats, and good company meet.
We’re immensely proud of how far the coffee shop has come, and especially proud of the volunteers whose time and care make it all possible. And of course, none of this would happen without our wonderful customers. Thank you for cheering us on, sharing laughter and conversation, and always arriving ready with smiles (and cake forks at the ready!).
