Fresh Air, Countryside Walks & Homemade Cakes
There’s something rather lovely about late April in Cheshire. The hedgerows are waking up, blossom is drifting through the air, and the countryside around Adlington seems to be inviting everyone out for “just one more walk.” Of course, we all know where a good walk should end… somewhere friendly, where there’s a sense of community, good company, coffee and cake.
At St John’s Coffee Shop, Saturday 25th April is our excuse to fully embrace that springtime feeling. Think fresh air, muddy boots, friendly faces, and a cake counter that’s well worth the stroll.
🍋 Jackie’s Lemon Drizzle: Light, zesty and full of fresh spring flavour, bringing a little sunshine to your table whatever the weather.
🥕 Nicki’s Carrot Cake: Moist, gently spiced and topped with a creamy finish, making it a well-earned treat after a countryside wander.
🍫 Val’s Chocolate Cake: Rich, moist and full of deep chocolate flavour, offering a classic treat for true chocolate lovers.
🍊 Andrea’s Orange Polenta Cake: Delicate in texture with a subtle citrus lift, offering something a little different alongside your coffee.
🍒 Rebecca’s Cherry Bakewell Cake: Rich with sweet cherries and almond flavour, adding a touch of nostalgia to every bite.
🍫 Sarah’s Chocolate Cupcakes: Rich, indulgent and topped with smooth icing, perfect when only chocolate will do.
🍰 Diane’s Victoria Sandwich: Light sponge filled with blueberry and buttercream filling, offering a fruity twist on a classic favourite.
Whether you’ve been out exploring the Cheshire countryside, or simply enjoying a slower Saturday morning, we think cake tastes better this time of year, and even better when you don’t have to bake it yourself.
So if you find yourself nearby on Saturday, follow the scent of coffee and something sweet. We’ll have a warm welcome waiting for you (and a slice with your name on it).
Join us at St John’s Coffee Shop on Saturday 25th April and treat yourself to a little taste of spring.
