Say hello to Keano, our lovable new Dog of the Month, an 11-month-old Staffy with a personality as big as his heart! Named after the legendary Roy Keane, Keano has inherited the rugged exterior, but underneath it all he’s a total softie who’s never met a stranger, a smell, or a scenic spot he didn’t love.
On receiving the honour of St John’s Coffee Shop’s Dog of the Month, Keano had this to say: 🐾
“Hi, I’m Keano! I’m 11 months old and a bundle of love and kisses with four paws and little chill. My favourite pastime is destroying cardboard boxes, and my ultimate weakness is cheese. I recently paid my first visit to Adlington, and let me tell you, I made the most of it: new scenery, new smells, new people, and plenty of doggo friends to meet. I might have said hello to some of my new friends a little too enthusiastically, but I’m still young, and I’m working on my manners! The volunteers at St John’s spoiled me with a pup cup (10/10, would drink again), while Dad had a coffee and a carrot cake loaf… and he even let me lick the icing. Honestly, that pup cup was so good I’ve started a petition to get it officially added to the menu, so every doggo can enjoy a naughty treat while their human enjoys theirs. You can support the cause by giving me a neck scratch or a sturdiness tap. Every vote counts! 🐶☕”
Keano’s boundless enthusiasm and big softie heart are proof that you should never judge a dog by his tough-guy name.
