The First Slice of the Season is THIS Saturday 4th April!
After a long winter of imagining the smell of fresh coffee and the sound of cake tins being prised open, the day has finally arrived. We are OPEN. And not just open, we are opening as an award-winning coffee shop! 🏆
Over the winter, we were absolutely over the moon to be honoured with not one but two awards in the SME News Best of British Getaways Awards 2025:

We couldn’t think of a better way to kick off a new season. The aprons are back on, the barista coffee machine is fired up, and our incredible bakers have been busy in their kitchens all week… and what a lineup they’ve pulled together for opening day.
Grab a picnic bench, breathe in that fresh spring air, and treat yourself to something wonderful:
🍫 Bee’s chocolate cake: rich, indulgent, and the kind of thing you’ll be thinking about on the drive home.
🍪 Sarah’s almond cookies: crisp, sweet little morsels of happiness that never disappoint.
🍋 Jackie’s lemon drizzle: sunshine in slice form and basically medicinal after a long winter.
🥮 Kate’s non-gluten and dairy-free tray-bakes: proof that Kate is a magician who makes sure nobody misses out on a treat.
🍓 Diane’s Victoria Sponge: the classic icon: light sponge, beautiful jam, and pure joy in every bite.
🥕 Nicki’s carrot cake: warmly spiced, perfectly moist, and we’re calling it one of your five-a-day.
☕️ Diane’s coffee and walnut cake: the perfect companion to your flat white and Diane is officially spoiling us.
🍏 Carolyn’s apple and cinnamon cake: soft, fragrant, and a gorgeous addition to our opening day table.
We will be open from 10:30 till 13:30 this Saturday and we cannot wait to see your faces. Come for the coffee, stay for the cake, and leave with crumbs on your jumper and a big smile on your face.
