Saturday 13th June is the Official Birthday of King Charles III – a day for bunting, brass bands, and, most importantly, cake. And while the King may have his Trooping the Colour, we think our little corner of Adlington has something rather special to offer up too.
Because nothing says “God Save the King” quite like a mouthwatering selection of homemade bakes, a freshly poured brew, and good company. Our incredible volunteer bakers have been busy in their kitchens this week, and the results are 100% fit for royalty.

🍓 Jane’s Strawberry Victoria Sandwich: Named after a Queen, and living up to the legacy with every perfect slice.
🍌 Andrea’s Banana Cake: Soft, sweet, and the kind of understated brilliance that grows on you.
🍪 Sarah’s Almond Cookies: Delicate, nutty little bites that are absolutely worth a curtsy.
Come and celebrate the weekend in style. We’ll have the coffee on, the cakes sliced, and a warm Adlington welcome waiting for you. No invitation from the Palace required. Hopefully we’ll even have the sunshine to match ☀️🤞
